Lough Derg RNLI rescues crew after vessel takes on water

Yesterday five people were rescued by the RNLI after their motor cruiser got stuck on rocks and began taking on water.

The RNLI launched a lifeboat when another cruiser standing by couldn’t get close to her.

Two RNLI crew discovered that she was holed and taking on water.

The five crew – all unharmed and wearing life jackets – were taken to Castle Harbour where they were met by the rest of their group.
