A fisherman hit his head on a lifting hook on Wednesday night and had to be transferred to hospital.

A medic from the warship HMS Lancaster was near fishing boat Custos Deus when the alarm was raised.

The medic boarded the vessel to give first aid, but decided the injured person needed further treatment.

Weymouth RNLI appeared on scene to transfer the 26-year-old casualty to Dorset County Hospital.
