Stunning 1924 ketch restored to original design

A 1924 ketch featured in upcoming Hollywood blockbuster the
Great Gatsby is being sold on the YBW Boats for Sale website.

The yacht, which previously served as a Naval boat, was
listed as a private boat for sale on YBW this week. Currently advertised for £1.9m,
Hurrica V was once swapped for three
residential blocks, two industrial blocks of land and £3,000 back in 1963.

The 72ft yacht was designed by Charles E Nicholson of Camper
& Nicholsons and built in the 1920s. She has passed through ten owners in
her 90-year history. Her current owner purchased Hurrica V in 2001 with the sole ambition of restoring her.

She has been restored as close as possible to her original design and is
described as one of the finest ground-up restorations in the world.

Hurrica V will grace
the silver screen as the yacht of mining magnate Dan Cody when the Great Gatsby
is released later this year.
