Police searching for Josh Clayton, who went missing on the Isle of Scilly 11 days ago, say a body has been recovered from the sea.
A St Mary’s lifeboat was launched at 6pm on Wednesday evening after the crew of a French yacht reported seeing a person on the rocks near Round Island.
St Mary’s RNLI recovered a body from the west side of Tean and handed it over to the police.
The police say that no formal identification has been made, but that the family of Josh have been informed of developments.
Josh went missing in the early hours of Sunday 13 September and coastguards, police dogs and a helicopter have been involved in the search on Tresco.
The crew at St Mary’s Lifeboat Station says their thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased person.
