Four people were rescued from the River Ribble on Saturday after their RIB landed on a sandbank. The boat ran aground after the GPS miscalculated their position and the inshore lifeboat had to be called out to rescue those onboard.

Everybody was taken off the boat and the vessel was refloated at high tide later that day.
