Forty Plus Four has been formed by two, well known members of the industry. Chris Ibbotson and Marcus Munt, who have both previously worked for large international brokerages and have now joined forces to create their own “new brokerage”. The pair have worked well together over the past few years and feel that they can bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts to their new venture by continuing this strong team.

The business is based at Trafalgar Wharf, previously the Vosper Thorneycroft site at the top of Portsmouth Harbour directly opposite Port Solent, easily accessed from the M27. The premises not only provides an ideal venue for Forty Plus Four to base themselves, central to yachting country on the south coast, but this unique location also offers unprecedented access to storage facilities for over 1000 boats and lifting for up to 850 tonnes.

Not only do Chris and Marcus know their stuff having successfully sold hundreds of boats – both new and used – over the years, but they also understand the customers need to get out on the water and how important it is for buyers to find the perfect boat.

Customer service is a top priority and every boat on site with Forty Plus Four is offered for sale, surveyed, engine serviced and valeted. This unique idea means that buyers have instant access to an independent survey, whilst vendors achieve faster more efficient sales as the all important survey stage has been covered already.
