The British luxury yacht manufacturer Sunseeker has expanded into the Iberian Peninsula.
Sunseeker International has announced the opening of Sunseeker Portugal, the new dealer for the Iberian Peninsula.
Sunseeker Portugal’s new office is based in Vilamoura, a yachting hub located in the popular Algarve region of Portugal. As part of the Sunseeker London Group, a dedicated sales team has been appointed to assist with all customers’ boating requirements in the region.
The new office will be under the helm of General Manager Steve Handy.
Mr Handy has worked in the marine industry for over 12 years, in both insurance and as an independent yacht broker, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
He has relocated from Sunseeker Poole and has spent the last year setting up the new office in Portugal.
The General Manager comments: “It’s great to be a part of Sunseeker’s continuing European expansion and I’m excited to be playing a key role in extending the brand’s presence in Portugal. There is a large market of motor boat owners and berth holders in the region who will benefit from a strong Sunseeker presence here.”
The opening of Sunseeker Portugal coincides with the recent launch of a new €1 billon redevelopment plan at Vilamoura Marina. The expansion will include the development of a new Yacht Club, spa and gym, along with new restaurants and boutiques, all a short stroll from Sunseeker’s new office.
