Results of Savills Kip Regatta in the Firth of Clyde on the weekend of 12th & 13th May

Better conditions with an increased 15-knot breeze greeted the record 74 yacht entries at the Savills Kip Regatta off Kip Marina in the Firth of Clyde on the weekend of 12th & 13th May.

In Class 1, Local Hero former Sydney-Hobart competitor Geoffrey Howison once again beat Jonathan Anderson into second place with London-based Murdoch McKillop placing third.

Sloop John “T” also again got the better of Jeronimo with 2 taking third in Class 2.

Nearly all the race boats will now be looking ahead to the Scottish Series races in Loch Fyne.

Tim Henderson, Commodore of The Royal Western Yacht Club, commenting on this weekend’s races said he was delighted with the entry, which also included many yachts from England, the east coast of Scotland and Ireland.
