Leading offshore powerboat racer presents the new Raymarine Ladies Trophy

Shelley Jory, one of the UKs leading offshore powerboat racers and the top female in her sport, presented the new Raymarine Ladies Trophy for the Honda Formula Four Stroke Power Series at this year’s Honda Awards Ceremony Ball.

The Raymarine Ladies Trophy has been specifically commissioned by Shelley and Raymarine to encourage women’s racing within the Honda Series and to coincide with her recent retirement from the series.

The newly designed trophy is awarded to the woman driver or navigator or female team attaining the most points over the season. Team Raymarine, consisting of Shelley Jory and her race partner Libby Keir presented the trophy to the highest scoring ladies team in the 150HP class, Suzie Smith, from the Spirit Race Team.

The stainless steel trophy was created by designer John Mellows, who supplies premium yachting trophies for many prestigious races and regattas under the name of Azure. John has also designed the trophy for Raymarine’s prestigious Young Sailor of the Year award.

Shelley says, “I’ve had a fantastic four years racing with Honda and a lot of my success can be credited to the support I’ve received from Raymarine. This continued support from Raymarine will be recognised by dedicating the Ladies Trophy to future winning teams in the Honda Series”.

Raymarine, the world’s leaders in electronic products for the recreational and light commercial boating market, has sponsored Shelley for the last four years through the Honda Series and is continuing to do so as she progresses her powerboating career.
