Video: 2015’s largest superyacht launched
Built in secret, the Project Omar superyacht will be the second for Russia's richest man.
The Lürssen shipyard in Bremen, Germany, has launched a new, 156m superyacht.
Called Project Omar, very little is known about the year’s largest superyacht, which is listed only as “custom” in Lürssen shipyard’s build list for 2015.
The steel-hulled, aluminium yacht will become the fourth largest yacht in the world when she is delivered in 2016.
Project Omar is reportedly being built for billionaire Alisher Usmanov, whose estimated $14.7 billion fortune is thought to be the largest in Russia. Usmanov also owns a 110m superyacht built by Lürssen, named Dilbar.
