This past weekend saw Round 2 of the 2012 Gill sponsored Sunsail Racing Series.

15 boats entered with a number of universities entering as practise for the
BUSA Nationals taking place this week, making sure competition was close and
intense, even in the lighter conditions experienced at times over the weekend.

Four races were completed over the two days with Damien Farine (Oxford
University) finding good form and consistency after a mid-fleet race 1 result
to take the weekend followed by the ever consistent James Anderson from Exeter
University with third place going to Nick D’Estais from Cambridge University.

The first non-university boat was James Gair in 4th place made up of a team
of individual clients who had booked for a weekends racing and training.

We move on to Round 3 which takes place over the weekend of the 14th
&15th April, before a break until July, giving the F40’s a chance to enter
the Round the Island Race, the Sunsail Sailing Challenge (formally the Industry
Sailing Challenge) and various other events.
