A 40-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the fatal incident on Sunday evening

A man has died in
hospital after being stabbed onboard a boat moored on the Thames on Sunday
evening.


Emergency crews
attended the scene near Bridge Street in Abingdon at around 7.30pm.


South Central
Ambulance Service took Robert Dobinson, 33, to hospital where he died of his
injuries.




40-year-old Natasha
Elderfield was charged with his murder on Tuesday morning and is due to appear
at Oxford Magistrate’s Court later in the day.




Detective chief
inspector Kevin Brown assured locals that they believed the incident was an
isolated event and that there was no threat to the wider community.




“Extensive forensic
work is being undertaken and a scene watch in place in the area nearby Bridge
Street in Abingdon. I would ask local residents for their understanding and
cooperation during this critical part of the investigation,” he said.
