Salcombe Harbour Authority listed the repossessed yacht on the auction site earlier this week, with bids rapidly increasing

A repossessed yacht in need of refurbishment has been listed on eBay for just 99p by Salcombe Harbour Authority.

Christina, a 1964 Invicta 26, was repossessed in lieu of harbour dues and posted on the online auction site on 21 April.

Since then, she’s attracted a fair amount of attention with nearly 30 bids having been placed on her in just four days.

At the time of publication, the highest bid stood at £112 but there is still seven days until the auction ends on 1 May.

Describing the yacht in the eBay advert, Salcombe Harbour Authority said: “She comes complete with sails, cushions and many electronic aids. However, as the picture show, the interior is in need of a complete clean out and refurbishment.

“Although the engine is there, it will need replacing, as will most of the cushions curtains etc. The exterior is in good condition and the antifouling has just been replaced.

“The boat is stored in Salcombe and the lucky winner of this auction will be entitled to a free lift onto trailer/low loader.”
